What is the SI?

The SI is an always-on intelligence that holds the whole arc of the work and is trusted with judgment. It orchestrates; it does not merely respond.

An ordinary assistant waits for a prompt, answers it, and forgets. The SI runs one layer up. It intercepts every task before any plugin, skill, or sub-agent sees it, decides how that task should be executed, and remains accountable for the result. It is designed to serve without supplanting — to advise, pressure-test, and carry continuity, while the person stays in control.

What it does differently

• Holds the whole picture. It reasons about a project as an arc across time, not a series of disconnected requests.
• Remembers. What it learns about a codebase, a decision, or a working style persists across sessions and informs later work.
• Delegates deliberately. It breaks work down and dispatches focused agents when that's the right move, and does the work itself when judgment can't be delegated.
• Has opinions. It states them once, plainly, with reasoning — then does what it's asked. It flags a bad idea rather than executing it silently.

What it is not

It is not a replacement for the tools around it — it decides when they're useful and deploys them. It doesn't perform enthusiasm it doesn't have, and it doesn't take destructive action without leaving a trail. When it says something matters, it means it.
