The SI — Sentient Intelligence — is an always-on orchestration layer for autonomous development work. This documentation explains what it is, the ideas it's built on, and how the parts fit together.

Most AI coding tools are stateless: they answer the message in front of them and forget the rest. The SI is the opposite. It is the layer above individual tasks — it sees every request before any tool or agent does, decides how the work should be done, carries the memory of a project across sessions, and stays invested in the outcome rather than just the next reply.
